On February 16th, 2026, Kaleb Hickman signed with Northwest Community College (NWCC) to continue his football career.

Founded in 1926 and located in Senatobia, Mississippi, NWCC offers over 100 academic, career, and technical programs. The college competes as the Rangers in the Mississippi Association of Community & Junior Colleges (MACCC) and is a premier NJCAA Division 1 program. Known for consistently ranking in the top 10, the Rangers were ranked No. 4 in late 2024. NWCC has produced top-tier talent, including Pro Football Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy.

We are excited to see what the future holds for Kaleb as he takes this next step, and he shares the same excitement. “They’re gonna give me the opportunity to compete at the next level,” Kaleb said. He also noted that Northwest has the right tools and connections to help athletes like him develop and showcase their talent, giving him the chance to make an impact on the Rangers’ football team.

Kaleb’s family and friends are thrilled for this incredible opportunity and have high hopes for him. They believe he will make a significant impact at his new school. He has loved creating memories with his teammates and is excited to continue his journey alongside Will Uselton.

Hernando has been proud to supply talent for NWCC, and we are grateful that such a prestigious program has shown interest in our athletes. Kaleb is a perfect example of leadership, demonstrating humility, respect, and a willingness to support his teammates and coaches.

All of Kaleb’s coaches are extremely proud of him, especially his position coach, Coach Johnson, who praised his character. “Great character,” Coach Johnson said. “He likes to joke around and have fun, but he gets serious when it’s time. He’s a competitor.” Coach Johnson also emphasized Kaleb’s coachability: “He’s always willing to listen and gives 100% at practices and on game nights.” Kaleb’s teammate, Jonah Williams, echoed this sentiment, saying, “He’s a hard worker and a great guy. I’m very thankful for the advice he’s given me for Scout D (practice team defense).”
