On January 10 Hernando High School had its 2nd annual dance, the Winterfest Dance! Bringing a close to Winterfest week and Winterfest Court, this dance is one of the Hernando students’ favorite events!
The themes from the week leading up to the dance were, Pajama day, Wiggin’ out for Winterfest, Class Generations, and blue and white day.
The dance was held at Cypress Hall. It started at 7:00 and ended at 10:00, students were provided with water and chips, seats, and a place to hang their coats. Students also used a provided photo drop and had pictures taken by the on sight photographer, which were posted later on.
The Students had a blast, dancing the night away with the DJ and hanging out with friends. Many students showed up and showed out with their friends and dates!
We sang some of our favorite songs and danced along, students dominated the dance floor and had a great night. Many students went to eat Mexican before the dance and went to Waffle House after the dance.
The students danced to songs like Wop, Church Clap, and Jhonmy+June, and reportedly 3 dance circles were made!
The girls sported different flower arrangements to match their dresses which included both long and short formal styles.
“The dance was a great experience with a great DJ and even better people!” said Freshman Laurel Patrick when asked what her favorite part of the dance was.
“A night where my grade can get together and have fun! This means so much to me as a Sophomore who is experiencing this for the second time, I can’t wait for more to come and to make more memories.” said Kennedy Bergeron, a Sophomore Winterfest Maid.
What a perfect way to end our first week back at school!
