On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the Ole Miss Rebels and the Miami Hurricanes faced off in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, with Miami emerging victorious.

Miami was the first team to get on the scoreboard in the first quarter, converting a field goal, while Ole Miss was held scoreless.

The second quarter began with Ole Miss taking the lead on an early 73-yard touchdown run. Miami responded quickly with a scoring drive of its own, capped off by a 52-yard touchdown pass from Carson Beck to Keelan Marion. At halftime, Miami held a 17–13 lead.

In the third quarter, Ole Miss added a field goal to close the gap, making the score 17–16, but Miami maintained its advantage.

The fourth quarter featured four lead changes. Miami struck first when Malachi Toney turned a screen pass into a 36-yard touchdown, putting the Hurricanes ahead 24–19. Ole Miss answered with a touchdown and a successful two-point conversion to regain the lead at 27–24.

Miami then put together an impressive 15-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Beck’s 3-yard, game-winning touchdown pass with just 18 seconds remaining. Ole Miss had one final opportunity, but quarterback Trinidad Chambliss’ pass was broken up in the end zone as time expired.

The Hurricanes defeated the Rebels 31–27, advancing to face the Indiana Hoosiers, The winner of the Peach Bowl—on January 19, 2026. The national championship matchup will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
