HERNANDO, Miss. — Hernando High School honored its senior football players during Senior Night on Thursday, marking an emotional and memorable evening for the Tigers as they faced DeSoto Central.

The 2025–26 Hernando High football seniors are: No. 2 Will Uselton, No. 5 Shawn Scott, No. 6 Kaleb Hickman, No. 7 Robert Rayborn, No. 12 Elijah Perry, No. 13 Brady Clancy, No. 16 Adrian Mears, No. 30 Chase Jackson, No. 35 Jalen Hill, No. 39 Jayden Billingsley, No. 41 Brandon Szewczyk, No. 44 Gavin Odom, No. 50 Jayden Wilkins, No. 55 Jordan Van Every, No. 56 Noah Glosson, No. 58 Alex Cole, No. 73 James Fong, No. 78 Ben Barnette, No. 94 Sean Griggs and No. 97 Kolin Phillips.

The pregame ceremony honored the seniors for their dedication, leadership and hard work throughout their football careers. Each player was introduced individually to cheers from fans, friends and family members.

“The ceremony was heartfelt and emotional,” said a Hernando coach. “These players have meant a lot to our program, and tonight was about recognizing everything they’ve given to this team.”

As the game began, Hernando came out with focus and determination. The Tigers’ seniors led with poise, setting the tone for their teammates on both sides of the ball.

DeSoto Central, however, proved to be a tough opponent, taking control of the game early and building a 42–21 victory. Despite the loss, Hernando’s players displayed grit and teamwork throughout all four quarters.

Fans filled the stands to show support, turning the night into a celebration of commitment, community and school pride.

The Tigers will return to action this Friday for their first kickoff in the playoff matchup against Oxford.
