This past weekend, Hernando’s dance team hosted a lively fundraiser where the kids got the chance to laugh, play, and have fun all while helping support the team. For 45$, around 17 kids joined in on a night full of games, snacks, and activities that kept everyone smiling. The event was hosted at Hernando High School auditorium from 6pm to 9pm
The evening kicked off with a showing of “Lilo and Stitch” that had all the kids laughing and entertained. Before the movie while the team was waiting for everyone the kids played classic games like ‘Duck Duck Goose” , “Simon says” and made bracelets. After the movie the children wanted to play “musical chairs” Laughter filled the room as everyone raced around, tried to keep their balance and showed off their quick reflexes.
Along with all the games no event is ever complete with out snacks. The kids enjoyed Capri Suns, Corn dogs, popcorn throughout the night.Between bites and sips, they shared stories, giggled, and made new friends. By the end of the night everyone left happy and the dance team raised funds to help cover future performances, costumes, and competitions. The event was a perfect mix of fun and purpose, proving that when a community comes together, even a single movie night can make a big difference.
