The Hernando High School Print Journalism staff is launching its first-ever Christmas Grams fundraiser from Dec. 1–5 to raise money for new mirrorless cameras for the yearbook program.
Students can buy Christmas Grams during lunches, before school and during break. Each Gram includes a Ghirardelli chocolate candy cane, a soda, a hot cocoa packet and a personalized letter from an honorary elf.
The staff has not released what the Grams will look like yet, but students say the mystery makes it even more exciting.
“I think it’s really sweet,” freshman Ella Guest said. “It’s something fun that can make someone’s whole day.”
Christmas Grams will be delivered Dec. 11–12.
Some students say the surprise factor is part of the fun.
“They’re cute, they’re fun and they make people smile,” freshman Trintie Williams said.
The yearbook staff encourages students to buy grams to help support the program.
