Hernando High School senior Adam Wallace was the first in Hernando history to sign to further his wrestling career at Central Baptist Community College. This is Hernando’s first year of having a wrestling team. Wallace and the wrestling team competed in multiple matches throughout the season and Wallace placed at state.
Wallace has big plans for his future. He wants to major in Physical Health Education, and minor in Kinesiology. He also hopes to continue with wrestling after college. “I plan to come back to Hernando High School and coach wrestling,” he stated.
Wallace has several memories from this past wrestling season. His favorite memory was, “Praying with his team before the north half”.
He hopes to see many other wrestlers on the team at HHS. “Work hard, it’s not going to be easy, especially your first few months, but you just gotta stay consistent and work hard,” he said.
