On Friday March 21st, the Hernando Tigers Dance Team had their senior signing. Kaitlyn Toney, in a moment of joy and celebration, signed her letters of intent to further her dance career at Northwest Community College.

She signed to Northwest stating that she wanted to go straight into a community college. She just recently moved from Washington State so one of her biggest challenges was getting used to the Mississippi area and culture. It was also her first couple years of dance, but she did fantastic. A challenge that she anticipates for college is her time management skills. She gave advice to the underclassmen saying, “don’t let anyone knock you down.”

This was a big moment in her career where she was surrounded by her friends, families, coaches, and teammates. They all watched her and felt a lot of emotions when she ended up signing. Everyone is extremely proud of her. We can’t wait to see her reach her goals and anything further than that.
