Recently, the Baker’s Corner moved to a spot on Commerce Street where Coffee Central used to be. In an interview with one of the baristas named Isabella Capranica, she said Coffee Central still supplies the coffee they sell. The Baker’s Corner is a gluten-free restaurant. They offer all sorts of baked goods like cookies, muffins and offer acai bowls, sandwiches, soup, and, of course, coffee. Isabella said that some of her favorites are the soup of the week, and most of their gourmet cookies.
In the interview, Isabella spoke about the founder of Baker’s Corner, Leslie. Leslie is gluten-free, so she wanted to make a place where people with gluten allergies would be able to eat and not worry about it being contaminated. She also said that they have a lot of exciting plans for the future, but we will have to wait and see.
Baker’s Corner has 4.8 stars on Google review. People said that the owner was very nice and welcoming, and that the food was delicious. One of the reviews said, “Welcoming service, delicious gluten free baked goods, stellar prices. Everytime we travel through this area we make it a point to stop in.” People say they are grateful the restaurant is careful with their food selections, so they don’t have to worry about their allergies and other diseases. They also have a wide variety of selections to choose from which the customers love.
We also got an interview with some customers, Sam Dorris and Hernando Methodist Youth Partner Zack Smith. They said their favorite things to get are coffee and their cookies. Zack said, “As someone who has eaten gluten their whole life, it was definitely a change, but if you like that sort of thing, Baker’s Corner would be a great go to food place.” They enjoyed their time at Baker’s Corner, eating delicious food and praising the Lord together. If you haven’t yet, you should go check out Baker’s Corner.
