The last we left off there was a feud between co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. More speculations recently came out, as Blake lively has a lawsuit against Baldoni for Sexual Harassment. A quote From E! News says that “her and other cast and crew experienced invasive, unwelcome, unprofessional, and sexually inappropriate behavior.” Not only was Baldoni involved in this alleged behavior but his company’s CEO/producer Jamey Heath. In the lawsuit file lively claims she tried to resolve the issues on set although her attorneys sent a “protection for return to production” document to Baldoni and his team on November 2023. They held a meeting between the two teams in New York on January 4 2024 to address the hostile work environment, Baldoni’s team decided to implement the “protection for return to work production.” They wanted to ensure the launch of the movie by implementing this.
Lively’s team also filed a libel lawsuit against the New York Times for their December 21st article talking about Lively. They stated her and her husband had a “hostile takeover of production”, New York Times claimed that she didn’t express any concern until after the writing strike. Lively didn’t like the negative look this gave her, so her team is working to get it taken down in the process of the lawsuit.
During the beginning of the lawsuit against Baldoni, Lively and her husband Ryan Renolds invited Baldoni and his team to their penthouse to discuss the recent speculations. It is said in many article’s that “instead they were blindsided by Lively and Renolds, who presented a list of grievances that were both anticipated and troubling.” Baldoni put out a statement saying it caused him trauma and he had never been spoken to like that. He also claims that all of her stories were “falsified” and she was, “determined to make Baldoni the real-life villain of her story”.
More news is continuing to come out about this lawsuit and the Lively and Baldoni feud. Many people are on Lively’s side, others are on Baldoni’s. Both teams are working to get this over with, but fans will never know what went on behind the sets of It Ends With Us.
