On January 5th, the Golden Globes took place, breaking the Internet with Zendaya’s “engagement” ring on her finger.

Zendaya shined on the red carpet with her “Old-Hollywood” inspired outfit, wearing a stunning Louis Vuitton copper dress with Bulagari jewelry. But fans noticed one item of jewelry didn’t fit, a ring that looks like an engagement ring.

The supposed engagement ring was found by a fan on the website Jessica McCormack in the engagement section! It was also found that Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jessica McCormack are all following each other on social media.

Although nobody has confirmed the engagement, people wonder what this engagement could hold for the future of their careers.

For the future of their family, a source said, “Tom really wants to have a family, and [he] and Zendaya are on the same page about having kids and wanting to start a family together” and that Tom is “very focused on building a family and his career”

Both Tom and Zendaya come from big families with Tom having three siblings and Zendaya with several half-siblings, so a bigger family wouldn’t be unexpected from the couple. Tom says in an interview, “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore… golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”

It is unknown Zendaya’s plans for the future of her family and career, but we know the past, so how did their relationship start?

In 2017 Tom and Zendaya played Peter Parker and MJ, which are love interests. Around this time Zendaya had turned down the rumors of them dating, saying that they are just friends. As time went on many Instagram posts were posted for each other, some being slightly flirty.

It wasn’t until 2021 when they were caught kissing in a car, giving their previous dating rumors some proof of existence. After this more and more pictures were found of the two being a couple.

This couple’s engagement was very unlikely with the Spiderman dating rule. The first two Spidermen and love interests had dated although it wasn’t allowed due to possible complications on set. Both of these couples didn’t last, but “Tomdaya” seems to have defied the odds.

These relationships were never allowed but after the first two relationships of Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunes, and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, the director had actually told Tom and Zendaya to not date. But like the others, they broke this rule.

It seems as though them breaking this rule was for the best.
