With the week of Halloweek beginning on the date October 28th through the date of Halloween itself on the 31st, it was a success for Interact. Monday the 28th being Monday mingle, as all students arriving at school and walking through the doors were greeted by Interact students passing out candy. Interact students lined on each side so students could walk in between the walkway formed by Interact and offer to those who wanted candy or small goody bags. As big smiles were shared upon all peers, it was easy to assume Interact gave a good start to their days.
Into the rest of the week, Tuesday calming down because of the senior A.C.T. and Wednesday’s scavenger hunt plans being canceled, we move onto Thursday’s fun lunch.
Interact brought back all types of Halloween spirit on Thursday’s fun lunch. All four lunch periods were invited to pre-game Halloween by participating in many Halloween themed activities for a chance to win candy or little spooky nicknacks. The many small games consisted of Halloween themed trivia questions, emoji puzzles, mini golf, mini bean bag tic-tac-toe toss, face paint, and blind folded Halloween drawings. Into the bigger games that many participated in were pin the face on the witch, life sized connect four, giant Jenga, ladder ball, cup pong, and finally rocket launching into the witch’s mouth. Most of these games being homemade and well crafted they held up well during the lunches. Pin the face on the witch made from a rolling white board with face pieces made from cardboard and magnets attached to the back to easily stick onto the witches face. Mini golf made from a cardboard box with a hole cut from the bottom for the mini golf balls to easily pass by. As well as the drawing blind folded was an easy piece of paper taped onto the window with the participates being blind folded to draw their favorite things from Halloween. Many of the silly drawings ranged from pumpkins, witches’ hats, and much more Halloween festives.
Ending the week with Friday’s talent show, Tigers Got Talent, which you can read more about right in this very newspaper!
