Hernando High school held our Fall Formal on Saturday night at the Lander Center in Southaven, Mississippi. The event took place from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. and brought in a estimate of 200 hundred students. Although it was a rainy evening, the weather did not stop students from showing up ready to enjoy the night.

Students arrived in their boots and heals ready to fill the dance floor, The venue provided a large space for dancing, snacking, photo booth, and just engaging overall. Many students stated that the atmosphere was exciting and energetic from the moment they walked in. We asked various students who they thought best dressed was and our top three contestants were Stella Walker, Emma Boren, and Kyleigh Carnell. Best hair went to; Kylee Garcia, Blaire Carr, and Eden Ford. All guest and students were praised for their well coordinated looks across the dance floor. “Everyone at the dance looked perfect, in every and their own ways.”– Ivonne Marquez

One of the main highlights in the dance was the music. The DJ played many popular songs, that students knew and enjoyed. The excitement became so strong that some students started crowd surfing, which became the most rememberable moments.

Allowing students to fully enjoy the night while being completely dry. Chaperones and staff members reported that the event ran smoothly with no major concerns.
