Several times a year, the Interact Club hosts “fun lunches”, and this month’s fun lunch was “No One Eats Alone”. Interact also hosted “Friendly February” with donuts and hosted a party.
Starting the month off, Interact welcomed students with donut holes on February 2nd, full of spirit. Interact students showed up to school early to make their fellow students feel loved and welcome. Students worked together to bag up the donuts, then they passed the donuts to other interact members who then passed them out. The interact students who participated passed out these donuts with smiles and love.
The next activity was the Valentine’s Party with Mrs. Alfred’s class on the 7th. This, like the others they’ve had earlier this year for Halloween and Christmas, had painting for the students to enjoy. These things are known for arts and crafts, from painting to carving pumpkins. Interact is very passionate about helping and making sure our students with special needs feel just as loved as everyone else.
Interact’s final Valentine’s-themed activity took place on none other than Valentine’s Day. This fun lunch was certainly special because Interact used this day to spread love and happiness around the lunchroom. They played games with an added Valentine’s tradition of sharing Sonic corndogs.
Thank you to Interact for making this Valentine’s season so special.
