The Grammy’s is an annual awards show with a series of awards that give recognition to outstanding achievements in the music industry. It is an extremely sought-out award, and only few of the many highly qualified artists get nominated. The Grammy nominations for 2025 were released on Friday, November 8th, and it’s created quite a stir on social media.
To no one’s surprise, Beyonce was nominated for 11 Grammy’s, giving her a whopping 99 to her credit (she’s won 32). However, Cowboy Carter has some fierce competition in album of the year, with Charli XCX’s Brat, Chappell Roan’s Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, and Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet also competing.
Record of the Year has harsh competition as well, with the nominees being “Now and Then” by The Beatles, “Texas Hold ‘Em” by Beyonce, “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, “360” by Charli XCX, “Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish, “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar, “Good Luck Babe!” by Chappell Roan, and “Fortnight” by Taylor Swift, with a feature of Post Malone.
With other categories like Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Solo Performance, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter dominate the field. While fans are excited to see who will come out on top in these categories, the performances are definitely something to look forward to.
